Well, it’s hard to pass up my old friends. After a five year hiatus from my paint-laden, colorful friends at Kathmandu’s Pashupatinath Temple, I came back for a little reunion visit. These are the guys I photographed in 2006 in their personal residence, an open aired portico high above the cremation funeral pyres sitting on the Holy Bagmati River in Kathmandu. Today I was returning with Tilganga Eye Institute staff for more filming in the temple of corneal extraction, when of course, these chaps were just sitting around. I will return this evening for late night images of the Temple and to return to bring them the 5 x 7 images I promised them of themselves many years ago. BTW…they don’t look much different. And I can’t say if they’ve changed their paint since then…
